Police: Former Texas A&M linebacker and wife shot by teenage son

Former Texas A&M linebacker Antonio Armstrong is in critical condition at a Houston hospital after being shot in his own home Friday morning.

Armstrong and his wife, Dawn, were both shot in their bedroom, and Dawn Armstrong did not survive her injuries. According to Houston police, the couple's 16-year old son has been charged with murder.

Their daughter was also in the home at the time of the shooting.

Armstrong played at Texas A&M from 1991 to 1994, and was named an AP All-American during the 1994 season.
