Former Louisville linebacker PJ Blue died Monday, according to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, from Louisville football. He was 27 years old.
"We are saddened by the passing of Cardinal Forever P.J. Blue," the post read. "Our thoughts are with his loved ones."
Blue was a three-star prospect and ranked as the No. 17 player in Alabama from the Class of 2016. He redshirted his first season at Louisville and was plagued with injuries throughout his career. He ended his time at Louisville with 39 tackles, two for loss.
