Tuesday was just another day on the football field for Pitt running back James Conner — other than he's coming off a season-ending knee injury.
And he had chemotherapy treatment Monday.
In a bit of an understatement, Pitt described Conner, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in December, as "the most notable player on the field" for Day 1 of the Panthers' spring practice. He will be limited this spring but was taking snaps Tuesday, giving his teammates inspiration.
