Pirates' Jameson Taillon takes line drive to the head, stays in game

Jameson Taillon's head is probably harder than yours.

The Pirates rookie pitcher was hit in the back of the head by a line drive off the bat of Brewers third baseman Hernan Perez in the second inning of Tuesday night's game at PNC Park, yet stayed in the game.

Perez smacked a 2-1 fastball back up the middle with such velocity, the ball bounced off Taillon's head and caromed into left field. Taillon, 24, immediately reached for the back of his head, then lay on the field as trainers came out to check on him.
