Utah prosecutors will not pursue assault and domestic violence charges against Olympic gold medalist Picabo Street.
Street, a 44-year-old former downhill skier, faced charges after a Dec. 23 incident in which she allegedly threw her 76-year-old father, Roland, down the stairs and locked him in a basement following an argument. Street's lawyers claimed she acted in self defense.

Records show Street was due in court on April 15 to face the charges — one count of assault and three counts of domestic violence, all misdemeanors — but Summit County prosecutor Ivy Telles filed a motion Thursday to dismiss them, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.
