Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald has a fun way to ensure his team is laying the smackdown in training camp.
Macdonald has introduced a championship belt given to the side of the ball that won head-to-head battles on each day of camp.
"The belt is something that's kind of fun to just mix it up and spice it up throughout camp," Macdonald said Tuesday, per The Seattle Times. "You know, 'Who's holding the belt?' And then we can change the criteria of how you challenge it."
While there is not a direct scoreboard to give players an idea of who is "winning," Maconald said he wants to encourage competition as the Seahawks get ready for the season.
