Phillip Dorsett 2019 Contract Option Reportedly Declined by Patriots

The New England Patriots have declined the fifth-year contract option on receiver Phillip Dorsett's rookie deal on Wednesday, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Dorsett was acquired by New England from the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for quarterback Jacoby Brissett just before the beginning of the 2017 season. Apparently, they saw enough from the former No. 29 overall pick since September to pick up his option.

Last season, he managed just 12 receptions for 194 yards. He has just 63 catches for 947 yards and three touchdowns in three seasons out of Miami.
