Starting pitcher Zack Wheeler and the Philadelphia Phillies are in agreement on a multi-year contract extension that will keep the ace in Phillies pinstripes for the foreseeable future.
The Phillies and RHP Zack Wheeler have agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension that begins in 2025 and runs through the 2027 season.

ESPN's Buster Olney reported the extension is for three years and a total of $126 million. Wheeler will earn $42 million per year, the fourth-highest annual pitcher salary ever and the highest average annual value for a contract extension in history.
