The Philadelphia Phillies and outfielder Andrew McCutchen have agreed to a deal, sources confirmed to ESPN.
According to ESPN and multiple reports, McCutchen will receive a three-year deal for approximately $45 million.
The 32-year-old, a five-time All-Star and the 2013 NL Most Valuable Player, batted .255 with 20 homers and 65 RBIs in 155 games last season with the San Francisco Giants and New York Yankees. He hit .253 with five homers in 25 games for the Yankees after being acquired on Aug. 31.
McCutchen, long the face of a Pirates' franchise that reached the playoffs each year from 2013 to 2015, was traded to San Francisco for right-hander Kyle Crick, minor league outfielder Bryan Reynolds and cash during the 2017 offseason.
