In case there was any concern Philip Rivers wouldn't be back with the Los Angeles Chargers next season, running back Melvin Gordon put that notion to rest.
He told TMZ Sports that Rivers will be back next season and predicts he will play about three more years.
"Yeah, Phil's coming back," Gordon said of the veteran quarterback, adding, "He gonna quit when he wanna quit."
According to Spotrac, Rivers will earn a $5 million roster bonus on March 16. He is signed through 2019, although there is a potential out in his contract following the 2018 season.
