GAINESVILLE, Va. — PGA Tour player Billy Hurley III made an emotional plea to the public Tuesday for help finding his father, Willard Hurley, who has been missing for nine days.
At a news conference before the Quicken Loans National, Hurley broke down while speaking about his father. Willard Hurley took some clothes and cash and drove away from the home he shares with his wife in Leesburg, Va., on July 19, Billy Hurley said.
The father hadn’t given any indication he was planning on leaving. Billy Hurley added that Willard has no history of mental illness.
