Things were very chaotic at Valhalla Golf Club on Friday morning.
First, a fatal early-morning traffic incident has pushed back start times for the second round of the PGA Championship. Then, top-ranked Scottie Scheffler was handcuffed and arrested after he was stopped trying to drive around the traffic tie-up the incident caused. Scheffler is facing multiple charges, and an officer was hospitalized in the incident.
Scheffler was released a short time later, and he returned to Valhalla to start his second round as scheduled. He even birdied his opening hole, and seemed to be in good spirits out on the course.
