PGA Championship 2016: Rory Mcllroy struggling early, says 'game is there'

Rory McIlroy blamed putting woes for his disappointing start to the PGA Championship on Thursday and insisted he is satisfied with his play from tee to green.

A four-time major champion and the winner of this event in 2012 and 2014, McIlroy opened up with a 4-over 74 at Baltusrol to sit nine strokes behind early leader Jimmy Walker.

The world's fourth-ranked player endured misery on the greens, with 35 putts a key factor in his Thursday struggles.
