PGA Championship 2016: Jordan Spieth pleased with game, happy to get off seventh hole

Jordan Spieth surged back into contention Friday at the PGA Championship with a 3-under 67 in Round 2.

Helped by two late birdies Thursday, Spieth gained on that momentum with five birdies on his inward nine Friday. Spieth has not played as well as he did last year, especially in the majors, but things are starting to click this week.

"I'm hitting the ball fantastic," Spieth said. "I just can't get a putt to go in outside 10 feet. And from 10 to 20 feet, the amount of opportunities I've had that aren't that difficult, up to my putting standards I would be five, six, seven strokes better right now.
