Jimmy Walker and Rickie Fowler came into this week's PGA Championship struggling to find any rhythm on the golf course. But the American golfers found something Thursday.
Walker jumped out to an early Round 1 lead after shooting a 5-under 65 at Baltusrol Golf Club in New Jersey. After his round, he talked about how important it was for him to build on his growing confidence in his putter.
"To start off playing just solid, lots of fairways, lots of greens, got some putts to go in, hit some quality second shots into greens, and had not been making a lot of putts this year," Walker said.
