P.G.A. Championship 2015: Spieth Climbs Up Leaderboard, as Usual

Jordan Spieth showed off the form that brought him two major championships this year, firing a five-under-par 67 on Friday to move a stroke off the clubhouse lead at the P.G.A. Championship at Whistling Straits in Haven, Wis.

Spieth was a stroke behind David Lingmerth, a 28-year-old Swede by way of the University of Arkansas, whose wild round of 70 had eight birdies, four bogeys and a double bogey.

Starting on the back nine, Spieth offset a bogey on No. 12 with three birdies. The highlight was a holed bunker shot for birdie on the brutal 18th hole, dubbed Dyeabolical for its architect, Pete Dye.
