Peyton Manning hired private investigators to vet the source behind an Al Jazeera documentary that alleged the Broncos quarterback and other professional athletes had obtained and used performance-enhancing drugs, a new report says.
The information was included as part of an in-depth Washington Post report published Thursday that offered new details on the behind-the-scenes workings of Manning and his contingent of hired lawyers and public relations officials in response to the allegations. The source, an intern at Indianapolis-based anti-aging clinic The Guyer Institute, had been secretly recorded claiming Manning's wife, Ashley, received deliveries of human growth hormone in 2011.
