The shovels officially hit the ground this week to build the Los Angeles Rams' new stadium. At a cost of $2.6 billion, the project stands out as North America's most expensive sports facility.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell attended the event Thursday and was joined by Rams owner Stan Kroenke, Inglewood Mayor James Butts and Rams legends Jack Youngblood and Eric Dickerson.

"We, as the NFL, couldn’t be more excited,” Goodell said. "We are confident this is going to be the place to be in 2019 and beyond — not just for football but for entertainment, for events, for eating, for living, for working.
