Penn State said late Friday night the school cannot evaluate a recent claim that late football coach Joe Paterno knew of molestation allegations against former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky 40 years ago.
A report by pennlive.com on Thursday detailed a damning line within a court order on a related insurance coverage case. One of Penn State's insurers claimed that "in 1976, a child allegedly reported to PSU's Head Coach Joseph Paterno that he (the child) was sexually molested by Sandusky."
