NEW ORLEANS (AP) The New Orleans Pelicans say they’ve signed former Duke guard Frank Jackson, who was the first pick in the second round of last month’s NBA draft.

A person familiar with the contract says it spans three years at the NBA minimum salary with the first two years guaranteed, meaning a minimum of more than $2 million. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Tuesday because the Pelicans and Jackson did not disclose terms.

New Orleans made a draft-night trade with Charlotte to acquire Jackson, taken by the Hornets 31st overall.
