Many have dubbed Errol Spence Jr. the man to take the throne from Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. He was a 2012 U.S. Olympian and was the 2015 prospect of the year in many boxing publications.
He faced his toughest test Saturday night in former welterweight titleholder Chris Algieri, who had faced the likes of Pacquiao and Amir Khan. But Spence did something neither Pacquiao and Khan did.
Spence knocked out Algieri in the fifth round to go to 20-0 with 17 knockouts.
Here's @ErrolSpenceJr vicious KO over Chris Algieri. Time for the big leagues for @ErrolSpenceJr pic.
