INDIANAPOLIS — Paul George sat sweating — steaming, actually — in his leather armchair and all but burned a hole with his focus on the single-page box score he held in his left hand. After two minutes passed and he had slipped his toes into protective covers and dunked both feet in a yellow bucket of ice, he glared at the stat sheet some more.
The string of numbers next to the Pacers star's name was not among his best. Though he managed a 25-point, 10-rebound double-double in Thursday night’s 101-85 loss to the Raptors, which gave the visitors a 2-1 edge in the series, George was guilty of a 6-for-19 shooting night, with seven missed 3-pointers and four turnovers.
