The N.F.L. gave New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady a four-game suspension on Monday, citing his role in the team’s illegal deflation of footballs. The league also fined New England $1 million and took away two draft picks, including a first-round choice in 2016.
An N.F.L.-commissioned report that was released Wednesday concluded that it was “more probable than not” that Brady was at least generally aware of Patriots personnel deflating footballs to gain an advantage against the Indianapolis Colts in the A.F.C. championship game on Jan. 18.
