After seven seasons with the New England Patriots, James White is back for more.
The 29-year-old is expected to re-sign, and a contract should be completed "pretty soon," according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
White had a down year as he prepared to enter free agency. In 14 appearances, he posted 121 rushing yards and two scores, then tallied 375 yards and one touchdown as the team's third-leading receiver.
While it was a disappointing campaign for the Wisconsin product, who helped the Pats to three Super Bowls, it was a rough year all around in New England as the team looked to Cam Newton to replace Tom Brady under center.
