The New England Patriots will start rookie Drake Maye on Sunday in the team's season finale against the Buffalo Bills. With a loss, the Patriots would clinch the 2025 No. 1 draft pick.
"Drake is our starting quarterback. If he's healthy and ready to go, as we go through this week of practice, then he'll play," Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo said Wednesday, per ESPN's Mike Reiss. "He's a competitor, he wants to play and he's still developing. He'll be ready to go."
The Patriots (3-13) sit fourth in the AFC East, with Maye playing in 12 games and starting 11 this season.
