Super Bowl LII between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots turned into a historic offensive battle.
The Eagles and Patriots didn't even need three full quarters to break the previous Super Bowl record for total yards set by Washington and the Denver Broncos 30 years ago.
Per ESPN Stats & Info, Philadelphia and New England nearly equaled their Super Bowl XXXIX yardage total in the first half:
Washington defeated the Broncos 42-10 in Super Bowl XXII as the two teams racked up 929 yards of offense.
Not surprisingly, based on the final score of that game, Washington accounted for 602 of those 929 yards.
