Russell Wilson is a significant upgrade at quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the eyes of veteran cornerback Patrick Peterson.
During an appearance on The Jim Rome Show, Peterson referenced the game of musical chairs the Steelers have played at QB since Ben Roethlisberger's retirement as a way to praise the work of head coach Mike Tomlin.
"It was always a quarterback cycle that he had to through," Peterson said. "And I even texted him, you know, right after they signed Russell. I said, 'Now you finally got you a quarterback that has credibility.' A guy who's going to be in the lineup that you can count on being in the lineup week in and week out.
