Panthers coach Ron Rivera won't 'pass judgment' on officials over uncalled head shots

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton took several hits to the head during his team's 21-20 loss to the Broncos on Thursday night.

Many of the hits weren't penalized, including on a third-quarter sack that changed the momentum of the game.

As Newton was sacked by DeMarcus Ware, Broncos linebacker Von Miller made helmet-to-helmet contact with Newton. Miller fell to the turf and landed on Newton's right ankle.

Newton limped off the field after the third-down sack and the Panthers punted when they would have had a first down by way of a personal foul penalty.
