The San Diego Padres have created the Barkyard, a dog-friendly space at Petco Park, the team's 12-year-old ballpark named for a pet food store.
The new attraction opened this week during the Padres' current homestand. The retrofit, previously a group picnic space, consists of six newly-constructed premium boxes in the left-field stands. Each box accommodates four people and two dogs. Ticket prices start at $100 a box per game.

The doggie destination is "conveniently located just a short walk" from a pet relief area at the existing Park at the Park area for dogs to do their business, according to team officials.
