The San Diego Padres were trying to unload Matt Kemp's lucrative contract and found a taker in the Atlanta Braves.
The two teams reportedly agreed Saturday night to a deal that would send Kemp to Atlanta in exchange for utility player Hector Olivera.

The 31-year-old Olivera, who appeared in six games for the Braves this season, was pulled from Saturday night's lineup with Triple-A Gwinnett.
