Padres officially extend hometown hero Joe Musgrove on 5-year, $100 million deal

Joe Musgrove grew up in the San Diego area. Now, he's set to spend the rest of his prime pitching for his hometown team.

The San Diego Padres have reached an agreement on a five-year, $100 million extension with Musgrove.

The hometown kid is staying home!

Musgrove, who received his first career All-Star nod this year, was slated to hit free agency this offseason after two season with the Padres.
