Robert Griffin III left the Washington Redskins’ preseason game against the Detroit Lions on Thursday night because of a stinger and a possible head injury.
Griffin was hurt in the second quarter when he fumbled the ball while scrambling and was landed on by defenders. He stayed down for about five minutes and was tended to by trainers.
After Griffin got up, he walked slowly to the sideline and then kept going until he left the field. He gave a thumbs-up gesture to spectators as he trudged away.
