Reinforcement is coming for the Green Bay Packers' depleted running back unit, as the team is expected to sign free agent rusher Joique Bell on Monday, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday.
Bell played four games with the Chicago Bears this season, recording three carries for six yards. He spent the previous four seasons with the Detroit Lions, setting a career high of 860 yards during the 2014 season.
The Packers have struggled in the backfield this season, ranking 19th in the NFL in rushing yards per game after injuries to James Starks and Eddie Lacy forced wide receiver Ty Montgomery and Randall Cobb to work out of their element.
