The Indiana Pacers have unveiled a handsome new logo that commemorates the team’s upcoming 50th season. The Pacers started out as charter members of the American Basketball Association in 1967 and were absorbed into the NBA nine years later.

The team says the season-long celebration “includes a patch to be worn on player jerseys and a corresponding logo to be featured in team marketing initiatives.”
Indiana has maintained a steady visual identity over the past half-century. Its blue and gold colors, originally selected to echo those of the state flag of Indiana, have evolved from a vibrant royal blue and yellow to navy blue and yellow gold (gray was added as an accent color in 2005.
