After acquiring Drew Stubbs on Wednesday, the Orioles made another move to strengthen their outfield by agreeing to a trade for veteran speedster Michael Bourn.
According to multiple reports, Baltimore is finalizing a deal that would bring the 33-year-old outfielder to Baltimore ahead of the deadline for players to be eligible for the playoffs. It is not known what or whom Arizona would acquire.
A two-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove winner, the left-handed-hitting Bourn is batting .261/.307/.362 with three homers, 30 RBIs and 13 steals in 358 plate appearances this season.
With center fielder Adam Jones (hamstring) still sidelined and a dismal 15 stolen bases on the year, the Orioles can use Bourn on the basepaths and vs.
