Oregon's Vernon Adams says he should be No. 2 quarterback taken in draft

Former Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams might not have as much attention as his fellow quarterbacks in his draft class, but that won't the high expectations he has of himself.

Adams, who set the college football world abuzz when he transferred from Eastern Washington to Oregon last season, thinks he should be one of the top quarterbacks taken on Thursday in the NFL Draft.

“I feel like I'm as good as everybody else, or better than everybody else in this draft,” Adams told USA TODAY Sports.

The only quarterback Adams would place above himself is North Dakota State's Carson Wentz, who has more experience working in pro-style offenses.
