PHOENIX — Randy Johnson is rolling now, and when this happens, he might as well be back on a mound, dominating major league hitters. The safest response, as it always has been, is to get out of the way and appreciate his artistry.
Johnson will enter the Hall of Fame this Sunday after a career that will never be duplicated. He holds the record for strikeouts by a left-hander, with 4,875. He was the last pitcher to earn 300 victories. His five Cy Young Awards are second only to Roger Clemens, who remains outside of Cooperstown.
Now he applies the same focus, while putting far less pressure on himself, as a photographer.
