Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young has garnered comparisons to Steph Curry numerous times throughout his career. Now he's following in his footsteps in the new era of college basketball.
Young announced on Monday that he's joining the Oklahoma basketball staff as an assistant general manager. He announced the move, along with a $1 million donation to the program, live on ESPN's "NBA Today."
He will support Oklahoma's "player personnel and strategic roster management planning," according to the program.
"As someone who grew up in Norman and played at the University of Oklahoma, stepping into the role of assistant GM for OU Basketball is a huge honor," Young said in the announcement.
