Los Angeles (AFP) - Ailing basketball star Lamar Odom is improving following the binge in a Nevada brothel that left him fighting for life but it is not clear when he will leave hospital, a family statement said Monday.

The two-time NBA champion and reality TV star is being treated in intensive care at the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas after being left in a coma last week after consuming a cocktail of drugs and alcohol.
