The Oakland Raiders filed for three trademarks for the phrase "Las Vegas Raiders," according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The trademark applications dated Aug. 20, 2016 are for goods and services, which includes "education and entertainment services in the nature of professional football games and exhibitions," as well clothing and other miscellaneous items such as bracelets, necklaces, rings, collectible coins, play figures, board games, balloons, and plush toys.
Six other applications have been submitted for the trademark, which were filed in late January and not by the Raiders.
The Raiders have been exploring a move to several places, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Antonio in recent years.
