Devin Butler's run-in with police may have been more complicated than originally thought.
The Notre Dame defensive back's girlfriend and his teammate's fiancée say Butler was a victim of police brutality, according to the South Bend Tribune.

Police reported that Butler assaulted an officer, claiming he punched and slammed the officer to the crowd. His girlfriend, Haleigh Bailey, told the Tribune the report was not accurate.
"I was there that entire night," Bailey wrote to the paper. "Reports say that everyone left the scene, but I was still there and saw everything officers did to Devin.
