Notre Dame wide receiver Corey Robinson, the son of Basketball Hall of Famer David Robinson, will do more than just run routes and catch passes for the Fighting Irish in 2016 — he’ll also serve as the leader of the student body in South Bend.
Robinson was elected student body president Wednesday and will begin his term April 1, The Observer reported.

Robinson, a liberal studies major, said last month when he announced his campaign that he’s gotten “all of my hard work out of the way this semester,” and will be able to handle the responsibilities of a collegiate athlete and student body president.
