The anticipated season opener between Texas and Notre Dame has been moved to Sunday, Sept. 4, the schools announced Friday.
The game will be played at night at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas. Kickoff time and TV details will be announced later.

"A game of the magnitude of Notre Dame-Texas, played on the opening weekend of the college football season, deserves a special place on the Labor Day sports calendar," Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick said in a release.
