Notre Dame Sellout Streak of 273 Games to End Saturday vs. Navy

Notre Dame's streak of 273 sellout games is expected to end this weekend against Navy.

The streak, which dates back to the final game of the 1973 season, is the second-longest in NCAA football history. The Fighting Irish's last non-sellout game came against Air Force on Thanksgiving Day in 1973. At the time, Notre Dame Stadium had a seating capacity of 59,075. It was increased to 77,622 in 1997.

Nebraska's 373 home sellouts remain the top active streak, which will continue when it hosts No. 15 Wisconsin this weekend.

"Based on ticket sales through Wednesday, we do not anticipate sellouts for our games against Navy and Boston College," Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick said in a statement, per the Indianapolis Star.
