Noah Syndergaard, most appropriately nicknamed "Thor," brought his hammer to the plate Wednesday against Kenta Maeda and the Dodgers, showing Mets fans Bartolo Colon isn't the only pitcher who can blast home runs.
The hard-throwing Mets ace connected on the second home run of his career — 405-foot solo shot — in the third inning. He followed it up with a three-run blast of the same distance two innings later. At that point, Syndergaard had plated all four of the Mets runs as they took a 4-2 lead into the sixth inning.
