NASCAR opted not to fine either Ryan Newman or Tony Stewart for their comments at Richmond last weekend.
Asked specifically about the comments made by the drivers after the race at Richmond, NASCAR executive vice president and chief racing development officer Steve O'Donnell said on Wednesday that the sanctioning body did plan to talk with Stewart before the race at Chicagoland this weekend.
