Whatever team had to face No. 2 Oklahoma after the weekend the Sooners had was almost certainly going to be in for a rough go.
Poor Texas-Arlington.
On Tuesday, Oklahoma bounced back from its first Southeastern Conference series loss by smashing UTA, 13-2. OU coach Patty Gasso had said Sunday after the Sooners dropped two of three games against now-No. 7 Tennessee, that the Sooners simply weren't "good enough." They were Tuesday.
OU raced to a 4-0 lead after two innings and put away the Mavericks with eight runs in fourth, plenty to force the run-rule and end things after five innings.
