Nick Saban’s press conferences tend to end on an emotionally charged note, but not the way Tuesday’s did.
With Alabama prepping to play Kent State, Saban’s alma mater, on Saturday, he was asked about his recollection of the 1970 shootings at the Ohio school that claimed the lives of four students protesting the Vietnam War.
Saban, a Kent State student and football player at the time, didn’t witness the shots fired by national guard soldiers into the crowd of student protesters, but his reaction to Wednesday’s question showed the impact it had still follows him.
