The N.H.L. has fined Devils forward Jordin Tootoo $2,000 for his second offense of breaking the league’s rule against diving and embellishment.
The league announced the fine on Thursday.
Tootoo was issued a warning in a game against the Rangers on Oct. 18. He was cited for his second offense, which triggered the $2,000 fine, for an incident in the third period of a game against Detroit last week. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
