The NFL confirmed the league's official Twitter account was hacked Tuesday, per CNN's Braden Walker.
Whoever hacked the NFL's account sent out a tweet stating NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had died, which the NFL announced is false:
According to NJ Advance Media's Matt Lombardo, the tweet remained live for roughly four minutes before the NFL took it down. CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora reported the league is looking into the situation.
